Our Staff

It is the goal of AWTT to have a well-balanced blend of staff members to help enrich the program with a variety of perspectives and creativity regardless of their own athletic history. Our staff is highly trained and motivated.  We believe that there is always more to learn and expect our coaches to strive to be better role models and instructors everyday.  Our staff is USAG Safety Certified and continually attending Staff Training Seminars to keep them at the top of their game. If at any time you have a question regarding your child or our program, we are always available to assist you. 

Pete Roberts, Owner and Head Coach

Pete Roberts has coached gymnasts to Pan American Championships, National Championships, Regional and State Championships. He has had six gymnasts named to the National team in power tumbling and recently was named National Coach for the 2007 World Age Group Championships.

Pete Robert competitive accomplishments include the Michigan high school state championships in floor exercise and vault.  While attended Michigan State University on a full gymnastics scholarship Pete captured  the "Big 10 Championship"  in Vault.

With an additional 30 years of coaching experience, Pete brings a compilation of knowledge to each gymnast that attends All World.  As a prior competitor Pete is able to teach gymnasts advanced skill progressions and impart how to mentally prepare for competition.  All World Power Tumbling, Double Mini Trampoline and Artistic teams have flourished under the direction of Pete Roberts.

Valter Meta

Valter has been coaching for 21 years. Previously, Valter competed in Albania for 10 years ( 1975-85) where he was an International Competitor and was a 1976 Olympian (Montreal).

He provides his experience and knowledge of gymnastics to every athlete and coach in the facility

Valter is the team coach for Trampoline and Tumbling.


 

Alexis Diaz

Alexis has been coaching for several years.  Previously, Alexis was an  International Tumbling competitor ( 2002 - 2005 ) and was the 2004 Pan American Women's Tumbling Champion.

She ensures that
every gymnast is getting the most attention and personalized instruction possible.

Alexis is is the team coach for Artistic Gymnastics.
 

Corey Whitfield

Corey started street tumbling at age 7 and started competitive tumbling 2004.  Corey has advanced to the Senior Elite level for double-mini and tumbling.  In 2008 placed 4th at the VISA Championship nationals and has been named to the US National team for senior men's double-mini.

Not all gyms use positive coaching techniques. Corey believes that this is the best way to coach. He strives to have students LOVE gymnastics. If they love the sport than what they can learn is endless.

Corey is the Recreational Power Tumbling Coach and a Cheerleading Coach.

Corey was featured in the following 2006 Detroit News Article for 'Weight Loss Winner.'

 

Sedret Whitfield

Sedret has advanced to to Junior Elite and ranked 7th for his level in Nationals.

Sedret is a Recreational Power Tumbling Coach and Cheerleading Coach.
